In 1968 a very talented designer, Howard Franks, founded La Quinta Homes with his building partner and general contractor, Bart Marshall. Together they built quality custom homes in the Catalina foothills for more than thirty years. Their reputation was based on integrity, honesty, and a commitment to many satisfied clients.

Michael Franks was inspired by his father’s work and at an early age, developed a passion for architectural design and building. While earning his degree in architecture at Arizona State University, he designed many of the homes that his father built. Later, as an architect and partner in Seaver Franks Architects, he continued to design homes for La Quinta.

Today, Michael owns and manages Seaver Franks Architects and La Quinta Building Company. The architectural firm and the custom home building company work together to provide their clients with homes that seamlessly incorporate thoughtful design and quality construction. Michael’s wife, Deborah, also an architectural graduate, works closely with Michael to assist their clients with color, finishes and design details.
